ANC to Demo DLP® Courtside System During NBA All-Star Weekend
(Purchase, NY, March 6, 2007) - ANC Sports Enterprises announced the National Basketball Association featured the company's DLP® Courtside Digital Signage during the NBA All-Star 2007 events. It was the second successive year the NBA selected the new technology and the seventh consecutive All-Star that utilized ANC Sports' courtside signage.
NBA All-Star 2007 was held in Las Vegas, NV from Feb. 15-19. ANC's DLP® courtside technology highlighted NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by EA SPORTS and the NBA All-Star Game, which was held at the Thomas & Mack Center from Feb. 17-18. The company's rotational courtside system was displayed at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center from Feb. 15-19.
"Throughout the NBA All-Star Weekend the courtside digital system entertained fans and brought energy to the arena with league animations, player introductions, and event content such as a full motion Wayne Newton graphic," said Jerry Cifarelli, president and chief executive officer of ANC Sports Enterprises. Unlike rotational signage, the DLP® Courtside Digital System holds unlimited inventory and has the ability to display video. This flexibility permits the league's corporate partners to change messages as needed, as well as creates new potential team sponsorship opportunities such as connecting advertisers with real-time statistics on televised signage.
ANC is the first company to display electronic signage courtside during an NBA game and the DLP® Courtside Digital Press Table is currently the only system being utilized during the regular season. ANC's signage debuted in 2005-06 at the Rose Garden in Portland, OR and can now be seen during all Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trailblazers home games.
