LED VIDEO DISPLAY SYSTEM BRIGHTENS SAFECO FIELD FOR 2011
(Purchase, NY - April 1, 2011) - The Seattle Mariners announced today that ANC Sports Enterprises has renovated Safeco Field with new Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision™ light emitting diode (LED) technology for the 2011 Major League Baseball Season.
A series of static sponsor signs and old-fashioned incandescent light matrix boards at Safeco Field have been replaced by state-of-the-art LED boards that will bring fans a wealth of new information and graphics during Seattle Mariners games this season.

The new boards, which are on the fascia of the Wells Fargo Terrace Club stretching from the edges of the Press Box down the first and third base lines, and above the Lower Outfield Reserved seats in right field, feature crisp, clean, full-color graphics. The signage uses the same technology and unique graphical features as the Out of Town Scoreboard in left field that was installed by ANC Sports before the 2010 season.

The new LED boards along the first and third base lines are over four-feet high, and total more than 734 feet in length. The video screen above the Outfield Reserved seats is 160-feet wide by six-feet high, combining the three previous static, lighted sponsor signs and matrix boards into one video display.
“We are excited to continue growing our partnership with the Mariners by providing fans at Safeco Field with the very same in-depth statistics found on television, the radio or online in a visually impressive way they can only find at the ballpark,” said Jerry Cifarelli, president and chief executive officer of ANC Sports Enterprises. “We are looking forward to expanding our relationship with the Mariners to develop custom graphics and applications which will further enhance the fan experience at Safeco Field over the next several years.”
The video system is powered by ANC Sports’ patent-pending VisionSOFT™ operating system, which provides unique flexibility when displaying statistical and game information, including displaying graphics and layouts designed exclusively for Safeco Field. In addition to statistical and in-game information, the signs can be programmed for sponsor messages on a game, series, homestand or season basis, enabling the Mariners corporate partners to activate their programs based on real time events.
In addition to the left field Out of Town Scoreboard, which ESPN.com's Jim Caple called the "the best out-of-town scoreboard in the game" on ESPN.com's Stadiums, Ballparks and Drives, ANC Sports also provides Safeco Field with its homeplate rotational signage.
ANC Sports and Mitsubishi Electric have collaborated on signage displays at several other MLB ballparks, including AT&T Park, Fenway Park (2011), Nationals Ballpark, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Turner Field, and Yankee Stadium.
