Penn State, ANC Sports Partner on New Center-Hung Scoreboard for Bryce Jordan Center

August 23, 2011

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.

ANC Sports Enterprises and Penn State University announced the Bryce Jordan Center will receive a new center-hung scoreboard featuring high-definition quality visuals across approximately half a million pixels.

ANC Sports will spearhead the development, installation and integration of the new structure into the 15,000 seat venue. The new scoreboard will feature four 10mm video screens each measuring approximately 12' high x 16' wide and two 16mm ribbon displays, one on top of the video screens and one at the bottom of the structure.

The new center-hung system will include over 1100 square feet of dynamic video capabilities which will provide real-time statistics, team logos, crowd prompts, animated team introductions, student athlete videos and live footage of events at the arena.

The new Bryce Jordan Center scoreboard will provide our students, alumni and fans with incredibly clear visuals in addition to in-depth statistical data. Perhaps the most exciting feature will be the ability to integrate the center-hung video system with the digital signage throughout the arena to create a more energetic and entertaining atmosphere. I think the fans will be really excited about this addition to the gameday atmosphere from the moment they walk in and see it," said Tim Curley, Former Penn State Director of Athletics

The new scoreboard will complement the LED ribbon system which ANC Sports installed in 2008. Driven by ANC's LiveSync operating system the entire signage system will feature the capability to synchronize together featuring one image, video or animation series. Compelling visuals such as "We Are . . . Penn State" featuring player images walking across the video system, from one display to the next will forever change the game day environment at the venue.

"Our patented operating system provides the University with unprecedented capabilities which create a memorable experience," said Jerry Cifarelli, president and chief executive officer of ANC Sports. "We are extremely proud to expand our partnership with Penn State with the renovation at the Bryce Jordan Center and look forward to delivering new fan enhancing content and applications for all the University's nationally recognized venues moving forward."

The Bryce Jordan Center scoreboard upgrade will take the national stage immediately as the men's basketball team begins its quest to return to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year by competing in the 2011 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament with two games at the Bryce Jordan Center on Nov. 14th and Nov. 16th. Meanwhile, the Lady Lions will look to build on their second round appearance in the 2011 NCAA Tournament by hosting perennial contender North Carolina during the Fifth Annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Wednesday, Nov. 30th.

Through the partnership with Penn State, ANC Sports will operate and maintain the signage during all events at the Bryce Jordan Center. Additionally, ANC will create all the content and statistical layouts for the entire signage system. In addition to the Bryce Jordan Center, ANC installed and operates signage systems at both Beaver Stadium and Rec Hall, which received new Diamond Vision video screens in January, 2011.
