ANC Partners with Los Angeles Dodgers to Deliver New Digital Experience

April 7, 2021

Dodgers fans looking for a more immersive fan experience will feel right at home as they venture back to the ballpark this spring, thanks to a new outfield plaza area debuting at Dodger Stadium for the start of the 2021 season. The Dodgers partnered with experience design and execution company ANC to integrate audio, video and IPTV technology, blending the live event with a wealth of digital information and adding monetizable assets throughout the ballpark.

“When you’re the World Series Champions, your fans deserve a World Series-like experience, every game,” said Lon Rosen, Executive Vice President, Los Angeles Dodgers. “Thanks to the digital integration from our long-term partner ANC, every fan who visits our new outfield experience will feel the excitement of champions with immersive sights and sounds of the game.”

The highlight of a new, interactive outfield experience is a sports bar for all fans featuring more than 500 square feet of 1.5 mm fine pitch LED display. ANC has integrated the 82’ by 6.5’ curved, fine pitch bar display leveraging ANC's LiveSync software control to broadcast up to seven different live TV channels at once, and it will also display real-time betting information and live game stats through a partnership with leading sports analytics company Swish Analytics.

In addition to the sports bar display, ANC integrated an additional 2,800 square feet of displays throughout the new outfield plaza including:

  • 2 plaza video boards - 9.45’ by 15.75’ , 5.7mm
  • 1 plaza-facing ribbon board – 5.25’ by 110.24’, 5.7mm
  • 4 terrace ribbon boards – 3.15’ by 57.74’, 5.7mm
  • 24 field-facing ribbon displays – 3.36’ by 15.12’, 16mm
“The Dodgers have spent the better part of the last decade updating Dodger Stadium to create the best experience for their fans imaginable, and we’ve been fortunate to be considered a partner in that process along the way,” said Jerry Cifarelli, ANC Founder and Vice Chairman.

ANC’s partnership with the Dodgers dates back to 2013, when they designed, integrated and operated 2,500 square feet of 1080p high-definition LED video board displays in the outfield corners that, at the time, were some of the clearest images across Major League Baseball. The two boards, each at 78 feet wide and 38 feet high, were designed within the original hexagonal design used when Dodger Stadium opened in 1962. The 2013 install, which also features scoreboard ribbons and fascia ribbons, is integrated with the new technology deployed this season to create a fully connected digital experience throughout the ballpark.

If there’s one place we'd choose to be on Opening Day – a day fans have waited more than a year to experience – it’s the new outfield sports bar at Dodgers Stadium. From the high-tech digital integration to real-time stats, we’ve helped to create a place that will be top on the must-visit list for any sports fan.
